International Adoption

Catholic Social Services of the Miami Valley provides home study and post placement services to assist families completing international adoptions. While you simultaneously work with an international agency to identify and secure a child or children from the country of your choice, Catholic Social Services assures that you meet the Ohio requirements for adoptive families. You will also be assisted as you complete United States Citizenship and Immigration Services application requirements. Through international adoption services we assist families to adopt all ages of children, as well as sibling groups. Catholic Social Services of the Miami Valley has assisted adoptive parents in bringing their children home from China, Korea, Russia, Ukraine, Colombia, Ethiopia and many other countries.

Catholic Social Services has more than 90 years of social services experience in the Miami Valley. We are a recognized leader in the provision of a comprehensive continuum of adoption-related services. Catholic Social Service’s Adoption Program is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children.

We provide on-going support before, during and after the adoption. The number and schedule of post-placement visits and reports will be determined by the requirements of the country you choose. Now and in the future, CSSMV is available for all your questions and concerns.
