Fly Me to the Moon: 24th annual Jazz Party
If you’re up for a night of live music, great food, fun people and an awesome silent auction, and you support CSSMV’s mission to strengthen individuals and families through actions of faith, service and charity, you won’t want to miss the 2019 Jazz Party on the Friday before Thanksgiving.
The Opus Est committee presents the 2019 Jazz Party on November 22 at the Marriott at the University of Dayton, with proceeds supporting CSSMV’s pregnancy and parenting support services. The evening will begin with a silent auction and the James Free jewelry raffle, as well as hors d’oeuvres and an open bar (beer & wine). A fabulous dinner and a short program will be followed by lively musical entertainment by perennial favorite This Side Up. This is Catholic Social Services’ biggest fundraiser of the year, with attendance typically over 400, so reserve your seats before they sell out!

The 2018 Jazz Party raised more than $158,000 for Catholic Social Services’ pregnancy and parenting support services.

Primarily funded by the Ohio Department of Transportation, our RideConnect volunteer driver program has exceeded expectations in its first three years of its existence. Starting with one driver in July 2021, the program now has 25 drivers providing rides to essential appointments, work, and other destinations. Drivers logged 93,341 miles from July 2021 to the end of September 2024, providing more than 3,000 rides and spending over 4,400 hours serving others. Volunteers are trained, use their own vehicles, and are compensated for mileage.
